Sermon Stream

What is Sermon Stream?

Sermon Stream is a cost-effective sermon audio hosting and live streaming solution by Shepherd's Stream. The two solutions, live streaming and sermon hosting, work together seamlessly or individually depending on the needs of the church.

The sermon hosting solution requires the church to have a Shepherd's Stream membership and the live stream solution requires a Shepherd's Live Stream membership. Churches can host unlimited MP3 and MP4 sermons with both the Shepherd's Stream and Shepherd's Live Stream memberships.

Live streaming requires the church use a third-party software that supports RTMPS such as Open Broadcaster Software (OBS), FFmpeg, Wirecast and XSplit. Shepherd's Stream recommends using Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) a free, powerful, and open-source software.

What is RTMPS?

RTMPS is a more secure version of Real-Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP). It has an added layer of security in the form of TLS or SSL encryption.
